About Me

Photo taken right after our wedding and
my sweetie is very tired after a very
emtional wedding ceremony. This day was
the first time he walked since his stroke!
It was a surprise from him to me for
our wedding day. God love him!
A little about me and my world.... I am married to the greatest guy on earth and the love of my life. His name is Jack who is a software engineer, designer, and creator of software for the medical profession. The guy is a genious! We have been together for 12 years and married for four years now and we both are fortunate to love what we do and work from home. He had a stroke four months before our wedding, so we certainly have had our share of life hitting you right between the eyes.

He has come along ways, with learning to talk, walk, use his arm, and a whole host of other things to get his life back to normal again. He is a true fighter and has never given up the fight. It was a life changing event for him and us, but we have a love so strong, and a never give up mind and heart! We will win this battle together no matter how long it takes!

We both love all the same things....music, travel, gardening, decorating, going to the beach, history, and exploring life. We are together 24/7 and have been for 12 years now. I don't know anyone else who has a more perfect life together like we do. We laugh alot and can't stand being apart. We share in everything!

We really are soulmates, and I am so Glad, God brought him to me.....he has completed me.

I have two grown children who have given me 7 gorgeous grandchildren. They are my heart and soul. I love them to death, love even more living life through their eyes.

I love God, and try hard to live as he desires me too. I love people and doing for others. I love to make people smile and happy, and help when there is a need. I'm not perfect, but I do try to be the child God wants me to be. I feel so blessed in many ways, even when life has turned upside down. I always try to find the good or lesson in everything. That....can be very hard sometimes!!

Since meeting my husband, I've been able to find out more about myself. I found I have a passion for vintage, and antiques, which has lead me to find I love to craft and create from just about anything. I love going to flea markets, love love junking, love antiques, and I collect so many things my list is too long to list!

I have really gotten into recycling, upcycling, re-purposing, and designing. I started out with a Home and Garden business on the internet called "Bay to Bay Gifts," years ago, then opened a market in Tampa, Fl. Did that for a few years, and then one day I was in an antique shop and saw the cutest thing ever! A vintage pillowcase dress. I went home and pulled out some vintage pillowcases and tried to make one.....that lead me to a new venture and business called "Cameo Kids Boutique", which has been in operation since 2001. I design children's clothing from mostly vintage linens along with gift items for kids and moms.  Right now, the website for Cameo Kids is available to see, but not available for purchases. That's because of some changes going on and new directions I'm going in.

I have had such a pull of creating again for home and garden, so I am in the stages of opening another shop. This shop will have all my creations of handmade pretties, vintage treasures I find, things I've recycled, upcycled,  and or re-purposed. I'll have a spot to bring Cameo Kids in there too. It will be under the tab of "Cameo Cottage Kids."

We have moved from Brandon, FL. just recently also, to a lovely little town called Mt. Dora, Fl. We are really happy here. It's right up my and our alley of our love for historic towns. It's full of antique shops, flea markets, great restaurants and the friendliest people ever! I will be opening a booth at one of the largest markets around here after the first of the year, 2013.....if everything goes as planned.
My new venture is called Cameo Cottage Designs. The website will be going live very soon now and I'm so excited!

No matter the challenges of life....life is still good! Practicing being posititive no matter what makes all the difference in attitude and the outcome of anything. That's our motto to survive and move forward!

Well, that's kinda it in a nutshell! Thanks for stopping by and I hope I'll see you again and again!

TaTa Till Later
Love and Hugs!

    1. Hi Anonymous....I believe you will only receive a newsletter when I do a post. I'm not really sure as it is set up through blogger, but I know when I sign up on blogs it's when they post that I get a newsletter email. I haven't posted in quite a long while as I am taking care of family for a while. Hope I will be able to get back to my crafting and blogging soon! Hope that helps and thank you for your interest and for signing up!
