Christmas Mitten Gift Bags For Susan

Sweet Christmas Mitten Gift Bags With Vintage Christmas Card Image Transfers

Before I made my friends chenille Christmas stocking, I was making some sweet little gift bags in a mitten shape. I used some nice soft cotton batting for the mitten and used from my huge collections of vintage Christmas cards, images that I transfered onto fabric then sewed onto the mitten. Once the mitten was sewn together, I added pretty laces, ribbons, pearls, feather boas, or whatever seemed to sweeten up the little mitten for prettiness. I ended them with a sprinkle of German glass glitter for some sparkle and a ribbon carry strap for hanging if one wanted to also. They looked pretty on the tree too. These were a good size for those special small gifts. This is the one I was making several of before making the stocking. I was planning on using several of the Christmas winter scenes to start with. Running out of time, but I figure if I get a good start now, I will be able to make all the Christmas goodies I wanted to sell for next year! For once I might get ahead of the game lol!

Well my friend Susan who I made the Chenille Christmas stocking for saw these posted on my FaceBook page and wanted some to use for her gifts to friends. Out of the several she wanted she wanted a couple with angels on them. I found some in my collection along with some other sweet ones I have and made these for her. I just love these old Christams images! She likes pink and I had just actually purchased these sweet redesigned ones from another new friend Debbi Oeltjen at Cottage Rose Graphics on Etsy. She has the most darling pinky Christmas images that she makes. She also makes beautiful items with her images and more at her other shop Marion Berry Cottage.

These were for Susan.....I almost just wanted to keep them all, including her stocking lol!

I am always so surprised when I get something made that I even made them!
Was so much fun bringing them to life!
Got some other orders from friends too! Again I got some sales and wasn't even trying!
Love it when that happens!

Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share with you today!

I'll be whipping up more of these to put on my new website as soon as it goes live. Might be to late for this Christmas, but they will be nice for next year!

Have a wonderful day and God's Blessing Over you all!

TaTa Till Later!
Love and Hugs!

    1. Hi Leena!!! Thank you so much....they were fun to make! I'm working on some more and also some stockings too. I love working with the old timey Christmas card images....they bring back lots of memories from when I was a kid with all the Christmas cards my parents received each year. I loved looking at them then, love them even more now! Thanks for the visit! Love seeing you!

      Hugs!
