Slouchy Shoulder BoHo Bag

My Slouchy BoHo Bag!

It's really called an Azuma Bukuro Bag,
as the Japanese call them
or
some call them a Triangle Bag.

I got my inspiration to make this bag from here:
This bag was made from a white crackled leather
and is for sale for a whopping $530.00!!!

Yep, I say that correctly!

Well I really liked the bag and it's shape.

It is so practical, it folds flat, can be worn over
the shoulder, and you wouldn't believe how much stuff
you can put in this bag! I thought this would be really
great to take when I visit the markets. And,

This weekend is one of my favorite markets of all!

The Spring Fancy Flea Market in Lakeland, FL.!

So I went out looking for a tutorial on how to make a bag
like this. But I wanted to make it in a more market style design,
with frayed edges, and wanted it to be very durable.

I found this gal after trying to follow another tutorial that
just wasn't working out for me. This tutorial at "Coco Stitch"
was so much easier to follow, and had measurments in
English too!
Once I found this blog, my bag was done in 15 minutes!!!!
Then I added pockets, some trim, made a flower
with some bling of course, and a leather cover at the
top of the strap.

The fabric I used for this bag was a painters drop cloth...
it's nice and sturdy. I also used some leather fabric for
the handle slip, and the flower. The trim I used, I cut from
the finished edge of the drop cloth and then did a coffee stain
soak to it to give it a constrasting color.

This was so easy to do, and so much fun to make.

I love how my bag turned out and it was exactly how I
had envisioned it to be.....a BoHo style bag, and not perfect
on purpose! So here is my girl! Can't wait to wear her

I really really like it!

Handmade decorative flower using a suede type
of leather. The leaves are made of the same but I
flipped them over to the black underside to give it a
contrast from the brown floral print flower.

I hand stamped my company name on the opening
edge trim on the front of the bag.

Just a little trim decoration on the front.

The front pocket for easy access to my cell phone.

Leather strap cover on the shoulder.

Larger Pocket on the backside of the bag.

Frayed seams and edges overall the bag.

I'm a happy camper now! :) and....it didn't cost no $530.00!!

See you at the Fancy Flea!

As Always..........Thanks for stopping by!

TaTa for Now!

Hugs, Love, and Blessings!
