Pretty Handmade Lace Crowns and a Giveaway!

Some more little sweet lace crowns I finished up the other night.
Made one for my granddaughter Emma,
and one for my puppy dog Prini shown in my last post hehe!

I'm really having fun with these!

It's a bit messy, but so fun making them! I love them!

These are the laces I used for all of the crowns I made.

This sweet painted baby pink lace crown in the bowl above is....
3 1/4" in Dia x 1 7/8"H x 10 1/2" all around.
It has 18 rhinestone studs all around it.
A strand of tiny pearls lay around the scalloped bottom of the crown, and
a pretty white organza flower with pearls embellishes the front.
I then sprinkled the whole crown with glitter.

The back side of the crown....sides look the same too.

Couldn't get the sparkly glitter to show up in the photo's, but it does really sparkle!
Isn't she just darling!?

This sweet lil lady is done in a pretty white scalloped lace.
She is 4 1/4"Dia x 2 1/2"H x 13 1/2 all around.
There are six rhinestone studs centered in each of the lace flowers in the crown.
Three beautiful rose colored mulberry paper roses embellishes the front.
White and rose colored satin ribbon was woven through the lace
around the bottom of the crown and ties in the back in a bow with long streamers.
She is just sweet!

The back side of the crown.

This baby I think is my favorite! The same lace was used on this one as the one above.
She is 6 1/4"Dia x 2 1/2"H x 20 1/4" all around.
The front was embellished with baby breath fluffy feathers...
a gorgeous pink satin, organza, lace, and tulle flower with it edges burnt,
and a pretty rhinestone center.
Simple but so pretty!

This is the back side.

This is really sweet too!
This baby is 7"Dia x 1 3/4"H x 20" all around.
The lace was handpainted in a pretty baby blue.
It was sprinkled with glitter.
The front is embellished with those fluffy baby breath like feathers,
and a vintage rhinestone brooch sparkles in the center.

Love this one too!

Simple but stunning and sparkley!

The back side of the crown.

And this one is one I made for me. I was going for something kinda antiquey looking.
Still working on this one. Not really sure if I like it or not!
I do love the rhinestone jewel in the front though!
I wanted something like this for one of my mannequins, so I'll keep looking at it
until I come up with the perfect duh moment that will make it just what I was going for!

Well, that is it for the moment!
Got some more in the making and several more ideas for prettiness.

Will be offering some of these pretties on the website soon!
Almost there! Yea!

And one more thing!!!!
I'm going to do a giveaway for a lace crown!
Two ways I'm thinking to do this...

(1) the winner will be able to choose the size they want,
the color they want,
and even get some say in how it's designed!
How does that sound!!!?

OR.....

(2) would it be better just to make one
and offer it up to giveaway!?

Let me know what you think to help me decide
on which way to take this!

Leave a comment here on my blog on what you think!

Idea (1) ?

or

Idea (2) ?

I'll make the decision on which I go based on your responses!
 This Friday, Feb. 8th!
I appreciate it all so much!

Stay tuned for the details soon!!! :)

Thanks for coming along with me today!
I always love your visits!

Hugs and Love and Blessings to you all!

TaTa Till Later! XOXO

Pretty Embroidered Lace Crown For Princess

Having Fun With Lace, Pearls, and Sparkly!

Making a crown with embroidered laces has been on my to-do list for oh.....about 2 years now! (Along with about a million or more other projects and ideas for cripes sake, so how IS a girl to remember!) Well, I was on Pinterest the other day and saw a tutorial for making these, so I said to myself, "self.....I think now is the time!" I had everything I needed right upstairs so let's have at it!! I'll make one for my granddaughter Ms. Emma! The way I have felt lately I needed something to get me out of my funk and inspire me! This did it! Miss Prini who is like my shadow followed me upstairs so I could gather the goodies to create with. As I was throwing lace out of my lace bin, some landed on Prini's head and that made me think Prini needed a pretty crown too! She thinks she's a Princess, and her real name is Princess, so yep....she needs the crown to add to her wardrobe! Next will be her tutu to match hehe!

This started out as white lace but I painted it a sweet soft pastel pink, added rhinestones, pearls, an organdy flower with a pearled center and last, a sprinkle of glitter! The glitter isn't showing its sparkle in the pics though darn it. Ms. Prini here isn't to sparkly either lol! She really ISN'T the Fru Fru type of girl and hates even more when I mess with her head to girly her up!
She'll reluctantly play along for a little bit, but with attitude....can ya tell?!

Prini ran and hid so we got Katie Jo the bunny to finish the job. :)
She loved it...it matches her ears! hehe

She's back! Doesn't she look like a fairy princess!? Say goodnight Prini!

Pretty sweet we thought....and it was fun to make....messy but fun!

I have several more I made too....
working on the pictures so will post those pretties when I'm finished.

Ya know......I'm thinking maybe a give away is in order!

Hmmm....I'll think on it and let you know in the next post!

Well thank you for stopping by! It's always so nice to have you here!

TaTa Till Later!

Love, Hugs, and Blessings to ya!

A Victorian Christmas in Mt. Dora, Florida

Christmas in Mount Dora, FL. is like no place we have ever seen before!
I went downtown and around a few neighborhoods so many times trying to capture the
Beauty of Christmas the way I saw it....but trying to take pictures at night was so hard!
But I'm learning slowly but surely!

Every beat of my heart made the camera move so the lights had all this zig zaggy look.
Some aren't so bad, but others I wanted to share just were horrible!

For Christmas my sweet hubby bought me a tri-pod so that the camera would be steady.

He is Such a JEM!!! And it works!

This home is just down the street from our home.
I went this evening in hopes their home would still be decorated and it was!
Here are the photos of this gorgeous Victorian home!

We have been looking at a piece of property on this lake in Mt. Dora and, if it works
out, this gorgeous home will be two houses from us! I will love being their neighbor!
Is this not just AWSOME!!! :)

As we are driving from our house coming up to this house!
You can tell something beautiful is ahead, because the darkness at night is so aglow!

 Front and right side shot.

Right side shot of the house.

Close as I could get of the front door entrance.

The Christmas tree in the formal living area in the window.

Side porch on the left....their gazebo on the right.
It even had a Christmas tree in the center of the gazebo with lights
all around the inside, and lighted garland and bows on the outside hung just
like the fence here in front of the property.

This home was on the Holiday Christmas Tour of Homes. Is it no wonder?!

You can see the lake in the distance which they also had lights on down
their dock and the ladder from the dock to the water.
The whole front of the house facing the lake was all decorated too!
I just couldn't get good shots of that, but you could see it from the other side of the lake.
The whole place was just lit up to beat the band!!!!

The center section of this fence looks light lights are on it,
it is actually the dock and the ladder down in the water
from the shoreline to the end of the dock!

The driveway entrance to their home.

It was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! and so ELEGANT!
Just my SPARKLEY kind of place!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoyed this home.
It was so beautiful and I am so thankful to my hubby for getting me that tri-pod!
I was finally able to get some really great pictures using it!

I STILL have more Christmas in Mount Dora of the downtown
and the rest of the pictures of my house decorating inside
as soon as I get all the pictures edited!
Hopefully it will be before summer lol!
It just takes so much TIME!!!

TaTa Till Later!!!
Love and Hugs and Blessings!
